Shannon L. Moyer Born in Ingersoll, Ontario, 1982 I use my paintings and creative process to embrace human emotion, both my own emotions and those that inspire me. My paintings are created to symbolize the inner most thoughts and emotions of my audience. Each painting is unique and different from the next. Specifically, in one painting one might see fireworks while another might see fear. I work with strong, bold acrylic colours to enhance the emotion that is emitted from my audience, in hopes that it will stir their own creativity. I have recently been working with plaster and acrylic on wood, to create everlasting memories and I hope to turn this body of work into tributes for family and friends that have been lost along the way. Those that are close to us, inspire us and are influential to us deserve to be immortalized and remembered. For me, there is no better way to remember those we love than through my work, a simple word and a delicate brushstroke. Shannon graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2005, where she obtained her Bachelors degree in History and Fine Art. She is currently working in London at Porfolio Management Group, and aspires to have her own art studio where she can give lessons to the public and devote her energy to creating truly amazing pieces. In addition to working on her ow career as a artist, she is coordnating an event at the Covent Garden Market called The Art Cove. This arts event will be a true celebration of local artists, and will run Saturdays late November to early December. She is currently living in London with her boyfriend and devotes her spare time to local charities, including the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the London Humane Society.
